Classes

We have a variety of classes available to our members and drop-in clients. IF you’re unsure about what our classes are like, here are a few descriptions to help you out.

Levelled pole classes, choreography pole classes and aerial classes all count as “Pole/Aerial/Silk” classes in your membership.

Fitness classes and practice time is complimentary with all memberships.

LEVELLED POLE CLASSES

Pole Beginner

Pole Beginner is suitable for linn - carousel spinsomeone who is completely new to Pole. You will learn the foundations and basics of pole including spins, poses, climbs, floorwork and combos.

Pole Beginner + (plus)

Pole Beginner Plus (+) is linn - cupidsuitable for someone who has taken a few beginner pole classes but is not quite ready to move up to Intermediate level. You will build upon the base foundations learnt in Pole Beginner and gain the strength to move up to Intermediate Pole. You will be prepped for inverts (going upside down) through conditioning in this class.

Pole Intermediate 

goril spiderPole Intermediate focuses on more advanced tricks and techniques on the pole. You will learn intermediate tricks, spins, poses and combinations. These classes are suitable for those attending pole for a while and feels they have mastered the beginner tricks. You should be conditioned to start inverting in these classes.

Pole Experienced

Pole Experienced is a step up from intermediate with the same focus on advanced tricks and techniques on the pole. The student must be comfortable with inverting and hanging upside down.

To attend a Pole Experienced class you must be accepted by the instructor to confirm your level.

The following are come requirements: basic invert, chopper, inside/outside leg hang, cross-knee release, basic butterfly, 1 handed chair spin, and handstand with the pole.

CHOREOGRAPHY POLE CLASSES

Low Flow Pole Choreo (beginner +)

This is a choreography class suitable for those who are ready to come up to Pole Beginner +.

You will learn a 2 minute choreography over several classes depending on demand. These choreographies will focus on flow and use of the bottom half of the pole and the floor. You are expected to have some experience with beginner pole tricks and combos as this class uses different techniques to create a flow.

This class is great when taken in combination with other pole classes at any level and is suitable for students who wish to work on the flow and dancing skills.

Heels Pole Choreo (all levels)

This class is suitable for all levels, although some basic pole training would be beneficial.

You will learn a short flowing combo which incorporates floorwork, basic exotic pole tricks and moving smoothly to the music.

This class is great when taken in combination with other pole classes at any level and is suitable for students who wish to work on dance, flow and heel work.

AERIAL CLASSES

Aerial Hoop 

yin birdieAerial Hoop is for new comers and experienced students . We have a beginner level and beginner/intermediate level to accommodate for different levels.

You will learn basic mounts, dismounts, and positions in the hoop based on your level, and short combinations of the above.

Aerial Silks

Aerial silks is a multi-level class suitable for new comers and those with  a bit of experience. You will learn basic climbs, poses and transitions.

FITNESS CLASSES

Strength/Stretching

Strength and Stretching  is suitable for everyone.

The Strength & Acrobatics class is a pure strength class with a focus on exercises that will help you succeed in pole training. Exercises will be performed both on and off the pole. Inspiration for the class comes from  gymnastics, yoga, street workout, acrobatics and regular full body conditioning.

Stretching classes takes inspiration from yoga, contortion and regular stretching exercises. A class may either stretch the whole body or may have a particular focus such as middle splits, front spilts, shoulder openers, backbends etc. The aim is to increase your flexibility balanced with strength.

Yoga

Yoga is suitable for anyone. No prior linn shoulder stretchexperience necessary. This Yoga Course is based on YogaWorks teaching which involves precise instruction from the Iyengar and Desikachar methods, combined with the fluid movement and thoughtful sequencing from an Ashtanga Vinyasa method.

Each class has a warm-up section, a main section leading to a peak pose, and a cool-down and relaxation section (Savasana). The course will cover all groups of yoga poses including Sun Salutations, Standing Poses, Twists, Backbends, Inversions and Arm Balances, Forward Bends and Seated Postures and Restorative poses. We use props and modifications as appropriate.

Feel the Floor 

This class is suitable for all levels, although some basic pole training would be beneficial.

You will learn a short flowing combo which incorporates floorwork, basic pole tricks and moving smoothly to the music. Some of the Feel the Floor classes will be a Heels class where you will learn some techniques in pole dancing and floorwork with heels! It’s a great start to the weekend and will leave you ready to go dancing!

This class is great when taken in combination with other pole classes at any level and is suitable for students who wish to work on the flow and dancing skills.

Practice Time – egentrening

This time allows you to practice any tricks or exercises you wish to in your own time. An instructor will be present in the studio, but will not be instructing.
